Szechenyi Istvan is quoted as saying, „A nyelvében él a nemzet,” or „A nation lives through its language”. The MISI Hungarian School subscribes to this philosophy and believes that by bringing children together in regular, structured classroom instruction supplemented by extra-curricular activities, such as: singing Hungarian songs, playing Hungarian games, studying history, folktale drama presentations, and participating in culture events, they will maintain a link to their heritage and develop a love and respect for their heritage.
The teaching staff of the MISI School will do their best to give the children a foundation in the Hungarian language that they will be able to build upon as they grow. The goal is to provide the children with a structural and thematic approach in reading and writing and also arouse an interest in a continued curiosity and appreciation of Hungarian culture.
