                   Eva Kish

While Éva is best known in the Minnesota Hungarian community as the dancer who teaches and runs the program at the MN Hungarians folk dance parties (Táncház), she is well-known throughout the US as an expert in Hungarian folk arts having choreographed and taught from San Francisco to Boston.

Locally, she is a resident choreographer for the Ethnic Dance Theatre and serves as Chair of the EDT Board. One of her choreographies will be shown on March 20-22 as part of EDT's spring show. Éva completed a bachelor's and master's degrees in education before studying in Budapest at the State Ballet Institute's Folk Dance Department and was a guest artist with the Bartók Ensemble under the mentorship of Sándor Timár.

Éva also gives beginning Hungarian language lessons in the Twin Cities.
